Professional Scrum Product Owner is THE cutting-edge course for effective Product Ownership. It explores the worldwide challenge that many Scrum implementations run into, i.e. how should business people and product managers engage in Scrum and collaborate with Scrum Development Teams?
The Professional Scrum Product Owner class focuses on the core expectation for Product Owners to maximize the value of the work done for a software product, thereby serving customers, users and the organization.

Scrum Facilitators provides engaging, interactive, practical training that balances an excellent understanding of Scrum and Product Ownership with tools and techniques that are immediately useful in your daily job. Our trainers are seasoned practitioners who have worked in various companies and learned through failure and success, just like you (will).
All our participants get access to the Scrum Facilitators community, consisting of all our trainers & participants, to share lessons, organize meetups, and have fun with passionate Scrum Facilitators.

The main language for this training is ENGLISH. Both trainers are fluent in Dutch so we can ‘translate’ specific parts & terms if needed during class.

Students are challenged to think in terms of Scrum and the Scrum principles to better understand what to do when they return to their workplaces.
- Students will have a clear understanding of the mechanics of Scrum and how the role of the Product Owner fits in.
- Students can act as a Product Owner for Scrum Teams and stakeholders.
- Students can effectively increase the business agility of their organization
The training may be interesting to all involved in software development upon the Scrum framework, but has been specifically conceived for those responsible for products from a business perspective and taking up the highly accountable role of Scrum Product Owner
Students work in teams. They learn through team assignments, discussions and hands-on exercises. This course will be taught in English
Attendees make the most of the class if they:
- Have studied the Scrum Guide (required).
- Passed the Scrum Open assessment
- Have a solid understanding of Scrum either through working on a Scrum Team, or through taking part in a Professional Scrum Foundations or similar course.
- Have been on or are closely involved in building or enhancing a software product or application using Scrum.
- Have read one of the Scrum books of Ken Schwaber or the book “Scrum – A Pocket Guide” by Gunther Verheyen.

Assessment and certification
The Professional Scrum Product Owner course has two associated credentials : Professional Scrum Product Owner level I (PSPO I) and Professional Scrum Product Owner level II (PSPO II).
All participants completing the Professional Scrum Product Owner course receive a password to take the PSPO I assessment and are entitled to a discount on the PSPO II assessment.
These industry-recognized certifications require a minimum passing score on the associated rigorous assessment. Scrum.org maintains a public list with everyone holding a PSPO I and PSPO II credentials.
MEET THE TRAINERS
Every Scrum Facilitators training is facilitated by two experienced trainers.
Steve is an experienced Scrum Master and Professional Scrum Trainer, using his 20 years plus experience in delivering complex software products in many different business sectors.
Steve started his career as a developer, working for Nestle before moving on to work for Sky building applications & websites for many of the English Premier League football teams. Progressing, Steve moved into senior positions all the time being exposed to Scrum, starting his journey into becoming a Professional Scrum Trainer.
As well as being a trainer, Steve is a TOGAF certified architect and a former Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer.
Previously being a developer, Steve has worked in various teams (Scrum and none Scrum) so comes packed with real-life stories. From Start-Ups building the next social media network, up to large corporations handling thousands of transactions a second. If you want to learn from someone who has been there, then Steve would be able to share experiences to help you on your way.
Working as a coach, Steve has worked in Finance, Leisure, Entertainment and Health sectors; helping numerous companies, from start-ups, small/medium to multinationals to experience the value that Scrum can deliver.
As a Professional Scrum Trainer and agile enthusiast, Jasper loves it when a plan comes together, goals are achieved and great products and services are brought to the customer.
As a Scrum Master and trainer he serves teams and organizations in their change process: teaching, mentoring and coaching them in understanding the power of the Scrum framework that helps them enable change in the organization and in people’s lives, delivering great products for (happy) customers as a result.
