“When the Scrum values are embodied by the Scrum Team and the people they work with, the empirical Scrum pillars of transparency, inspection, and adaptation come to life building trust.”
The Scrum Master 3.0 course is a learning path, an empirical journey designed to take your Scrum Mastery to a distinguished level. The Scrum Master 3.0 is a course where we will be going on a journey of self-discovery. By combining the theory, real-life situational case studies, challenging hands-on exercises, and constructive feedback sessions, you will be challenged to reimagine your Scrum.
The centerpiece of the Scrum Master 3.0 course is to understand the philosophy behind Scrum values. In real life, openness, courage, focus, commitment, and respect are considered just words and therefore easily dismissed. This often leads to knowing Scrum but not truly understanding it. Scrum Master 3.0 journey helps you unlock the real power of the Scrum values so that you can actually start “using them” to improve your Scrum. Additionally, you will learn tactics and complementary practices on how to enable self-management within your teams and organization.
Virtual classes are by default English. If we have a Dutch-speaking participant, we will evaluate to provide the course in Dutch.
In-person classes are by default in Dutch. If we have a non-Dutch speaking participant, we will evaluate to provide the course in English. Nonetheless, it is useful for participants to master a basic level of English as a lot of the Scrum language is English.
Scrum Master 3.0 is an advanced journey designed for the most experienced Scrum practitioners who have a solid understanding of the Scrum framework. We will not be covering the Scrum basics so to have the maximum learning experience; we advise the following:
Knowledge does not equal understanding. Are we able to quickly adapt to changing circumstances because we have the understanding necessary to do so? Or are we getting bogged down and stuck because we’re relying upon the knowledge that was useful yesterday, but not meeting the need today?
This is the fundamental difference between mechanical Scrum and professional Scrum. In this journey, we will apply bottom-up intelligence from the group and debunk several real-life situational case studies, myths and introducing complementary practices as we go along. In handling these cases we emphasize how they impact the Scrum Values and Empiricism. Knowing the "answer" is one thing, but connecting it to the Scrum Values and Empiricism helps you become a Scrum Master 3.0
This course is not part of a certification program.
however, when you feel you are ready to take on the PSM III, the hardest Scrum exam in the world, the Scrum Master 3.0 is a great way to kickstart this journey!
The PSM III exam voucher is not included in this journey.
Included in the Scrum Master 3.0 journey is the Scrum Values workshop with Gunther Verheyen (Ullizee-Inc). We are thrilled that Gunther is working with us on the Scrum Master 3.0 journey and we're convinced this has a huge impact on the journey of the participants.
